The son of Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, Abdullahi has slammed the All Progressives Congress (APC) for blaming former President Goodluck Jonathan for the security challenges Nigeria is currently facing.

Naija News reports that APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, in an interview with Punch, said the buck stopped at Jonathan’s desk for failing to take decisive steps to tackle the insurgency at the incubatory stage.

The ruling party said that Jonathan was to blame for tolerating insurgency and banditry until it reached its peak and claimed that it would be unreasonable for anyone to call President Muhammdu Buhari a failure for not putting an end to the country’s insecurity.

He said: “It was the same Jonathan administration that incubated Boko Haram to a point where it became a fighting force. Many of them who are in that party really should be hiding their faces by now.

“Jonathan would never have survived the onslaught if he was not defeated by election. A lot of issues we are talking about today were incubated by the same individuals and party when they were in government.”

Reacting to the report, Abdullahi  in a post shared on Instagram, slammed APC for exonerating Buhari and still blaming Jonathan after seven years.

According to the governor’s son, the ruling party has failed to blame themselves but continues to fault Jonathan.

He wrote: “Seven years later! Same old strategy! When it gets too hot they blame Jonathan. They blame anybody but themselves!”
