“This Is An Insult To Nollywood” – Davido Dragged For Old Tweet In Which He Alleged How Female Nollywood Actresses Make Their Money

Nigerian singer and  afro-beat star, David Adeleke popularly called Davido has stirred reactions on social media after an old tweet he made about how female Nollywood actresses allegedly make their money resurfaced online.

The father of four via the microblogging platform Twitter, in 2011 opined that most Nollywood actresses uses the platform ‘Nollywood’  to advertise their body to wealthy men.

According to the Afrobeat star, female Nollywood stars make more money from sleeping with men than from featuring in movies.

” Nollywood is just a way 4 these actresses 2 advertise their goodies 2 rich men… dey makes more moni banging than acting. Fact.”

Unfortunately, many netizens have frowned over the statement, calling the singer out for being so insensitive to Nollywood and female stars.

While others claimed that the singer was young and inexperienced because of the fact that the tweet was an old tweet, some insisted that the singer’s words are not far from the truth.
