1. Police Seal APC National Secretariat

Officers of Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have sealed off the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party.

Naija News reports that a detachment of Policemen sealed off the APC National Secretariat based on orders of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu.

2. Court Gives Obaseki Freedom To Participate In PDP Primaries

Governor Godwin Obaseki has gotten a court approval to participate in the upcoming primary governorship election of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) slated for Thursday.

Naija News reported that Mr Obaseki had earlier been stopped by the court from contesting the election for allegedly submitting questionable certificates.

3. 13 Imo Lawmakers Contract Coronavirus

No fewer than thirteen members of the Imo State House of Assembly have contracted Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Naija News reports that this was disclosed by the spokesperson for Imo State COVID-19 Task Force, Chimezie Iwuala in Owerri, the Imo state capital on Tuesday.

4. Buhari Attends ECOWAS Summit

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday participated in a virtual Extra-Ordinary Summit of the Authority of the Heads of State and Government of the Member States of the West African Monetary Zone (WAMZ).

Naija News reports that Buhari was linked to the summit from the Executive Council Chambers of the State House, Abuja.

5. Court Restrains Victor Giadom From APC

The factional Acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Victor Giadom has been restrained by a Rivers High Court from parading himself as a member of the ruling party.

The order was declared by Justice C. Nwogu in a suit filed by Okechukwu Chidor Ogbonna and Mac-Lords Peterson against APC Rivers chapter; Acting Chairman of the chapter Igo Aguma; Victor Giadom and Golden Chioma in Port-Harcourt.

6. Protesters Storm EFCC Office, Submit Petition Against Lagos Speaker, Obasa

A petition has been submitted at the Lagos State office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission against the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, by members of the Civil Society Network Against Corruption.

Members of the group also on Tuesday staged a peaceful protest against the Speaker at the Lagos State office of the commission.

7. Akeredolu Dismisses All Media Aides To His Deputy

Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu on Tuesday, ordered the immediate dismissal of some aides to the Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi.

The order is believed to be connected to the misunderstanding between the governor and his deputy.

8. Oyo Government Takes Fresh Decision On Resumption Of Schools

The Oyo State government has modified the date and procedure for the planned resumption of school activities in the state which had been closed due to the global coronavirus pandemic.

According to some sources, the change in plans became necessary as the latest report available to the government indicates most schools are not ready yet to meet with the terms and conditions outlined for resumption.

9. Ondo Doctors Commence Indefinite Strike

Resident doctors of the University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital (UNIMEDTH) Ondo State on Tuesday commenced an indefinite strike amid rising cases of the deadly coronavirus (COVID-19) in the state.

This was made known by the doctors during a press conference held in Akure, the Ondo state capital.

10. Novak Djokovic And Wife Test Positive For Coronavirus

The World number tennis player, Novak Djokovic has revealed that he tested positive for the coronavirus infection. He added that his wife, Jelena has also tested positive.

However, their children, have tested negative to the COVID-19 infection.
