Updates: Akeredolu Dismiss All Media Aides To His Deputy

The Drama in the political scene has gotten tensed in Ondo State as  Governor Rotimi Akeredolu earlier today ordered the immediate dismissal of Mr Allen Sowore, Special Assistant on New Media to the Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi.

Sowore was reportedly sacked for recording and circulating the viral video which showed the state’s Commissioner of Police, Bolaji Salami barring Ajayi from exiting his official quarters in the Government House.

In a statement signed by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr Olusegun Ajiboye Sowore violated the state protocol by uploading the viral video. The statement also revealed that Mr Sowore is advised to submit all government’s properties in his possession to the Chief of Staff to the Governor.

Meanwhile, hours after dismissing Sowore, the Chief Press Secretary to the embattled Deputy Governor, Babatope Okeowo has also been dismissed by the Governor, Akeredolu. Okeowo was sacked alongside five other aides of the Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi and his wife.

The Names of the five aides that were dismissed are  Mr Olumo Bayo, Special Assitant on Special Duties, Mr Olawale  Abolade Mukaila, Special Assitant on Photography, Mr Samuel Ogunmusi Personal Assitant to the Deputy Governor, Mr Omotunmise Tokunbo, Special Assitant  to the Wife of the Deputy Governor, Mr Erifeyiwa Shola Akinnugba, Special Assitant  to the Wife of the Deputy Governor (Photography)

Ajayi had defected from the All Progressives Congress to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday. Naija News recalls that he has, however, vowed not to resign his appointment as the Deputy Governor no matter the intimidation.
