The final list of candidates contesting the 2019 Presidential, Governorship, National Assembly and the State of Assembly elections have emerged.

Naija News reports that the list was released on Thursday by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Nigeria’s electoral umpire.

This online news platform understands that an earlier statement released by the Commission on Wednesday had said “on the whole, there are 1, 066 candidates for the governorship elections, 14, 583 for the State Assembly elections and 806 for the FCT Area Council elections broken down into 105 Chairmanship candidates and 701 councillorship candidates. “
