Buhari Re-Appoints Amaechi As His Campaign DG For 2019

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed the Minister of Transportation, Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi as the  Secretary/Director-General of campaign organisation for his re-election in 2019.

The appointment of the Former Governor of Rivers State was made known in a press statement made available to the media by the Senior Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu.

Amaechi was the Director-General of the Buhari-Osinbajo Presidential Campaign Committee in 2014 to 2015 that won the elections and brought the current administration into office.

The new Director General will announce other appointments into the campaign structure as approved by President Buhari.

Naija News recalls that Amaechi was a two term governor of Rivers State between 2007 and 2014, who defected from the then ruling People Democratic Party (PDP) to the now ruling APC.

A 48-year-old lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Mr. Festue Keyamo had earlier been appointed the spokesman of the campaign organisation.
