Arsenal Accept Beşiktaş Bid For Leandro Trossard

Arsenal have reportedly accepted a €20 million bid from Beşiktaş for forward Leandro Trossard, with the Belgian international now holding the key to whether the transfer goes ahead.

Leandro Trossard, 31, has been linked with an Emirates exit for months despite remaining a regular part of Mikel Arteta’s plans towards the end of last season.

According to Sporx, via Football Place, Beşiktaş president Serdal Adalı and sporting director Önder Özen have intensified efforts to sign Trossard after identifying him as a top target. The Turkish club are said to have matched Arsenal’s €20 million valuation, shifting attention to personal terms as they wait for the player to make his decision.

Trossard is not short of options. Saudi Arabian club Al-Diraiyah are also reported to be willing to meet Arsenal’s asking price and has tabled a more lucrative contract. The Saudi side are believed to be offering around €10 million net per season, while Beşiktaş are reportedly prepared to pay about €7 million annually.

Arsenal are open to the sale as part of their plans to reshape the attacking department. Trossard remains a valued squad member, but the North London club are understood to see the proposed fee as strong business for a player in the latter stages of his career. Any move, however, depends entirely on the Belgian’s approval.

Trossard is currently away with Belgium at the World Cup and is expected to postpone any decision on his future until after the tournament ends.
