Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga has sustained a knee ligament injury while representing France in the November international break.

Eduardo Camavinga, who is currently 21-year-old, injured his right knee during training with France on Wednesday after colliding with forward Ousmane Dembele.

According to a statement from Real Madrid, Camavinga, who has played in every league game so far this season, tore his lateral collateral ligament.

The expected time of his return to contact training or on pitch action has not been announced yet.

Recall that Camavinga made his France debut in a Uefa Nations League win over Croatia in September 2020 when he was 17 years and nine months old. This makes him the youngest France international in 106 years.

He extended his Real Madrid contract earlier this month, keeping him with the team through 2029.

Due to his knee injury, he wouldn’t be available when Real Madrid take on Cadiz in a La Liga match on November 26.

Real Madrid Injury Woes

Camavinga is currently the fourth Real Madrid star player out with an injury, adding to Carlos Ancelotti’s injury woes as they struggle to attain the first spot on the league table.

Winger Vinicius Jr. was also substituted out of Brazil’s 2-1 loss to Columbia on Thursday due to a thigh injury.

Due to anterior cruciate ligament surgery, both defender Eder Militao and goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois have been sidelined for an extended period of time.

Due to a persistent knee injury, Arda Guler, a winger who joined Real Madrid in the summer, has not yet made his debut.
