Chelsea Vs Man City: Ex-Arsenal Legend, Seaman Predicts Scoreline Ahead Of Sunday's EPL Clash

Arsenal legend, David Seaman, predicted that Sunday’s English Premier League match between Manchester City and Chelsea at Stamford Bridge will end in favour of the visitors.

Naija News reports that Pep Guardiola’s team will be travelling down to West London this Sunday, November 12 to battle three points with Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Both sides have had contrasting starts to the new Premier League season. Man City currently sits at the top of the table with 27 points after 11 games, while Chelsea is in 10th position with 15 points from the same number of games.

However, Seaman believes that Man City will conquer Chelsea and will likely beat the host 2-0 in front of their home fans.

“I’m going to go 2-0 Man City,” Seaman said on his weekly podcast.

Chelsea come into this match after a 4-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur in their last Premier League game, while Man City thrashed Bournemouth 6-1.

James Maddison To Stay Out Of Football Until January

Meanwhile, the manager of Tottenham Hotspur, Ange Postecoglou, has confirmed that James Maddison’s ankle injury will prevent him from playing competitive football until January.

Recall that coach Gareth Southgate of the England national team left out James Maddison from the squad that will execute England’s 2024 European Championship qualifiers in November.

The 26-year-old English midfielder was hurt on Monday during Tottenham’s thrilling 4-1 Premier League loss to Chelsea, Naija News understands.

Micky van de Ven, who joined Spurs from Wolfsburg in the summer, also left the Monday night Premier League game with a hamstring injury.

“Fair to say a fair bit happened after Monday,” coach Postecoglou said ahead of their Premier League clash with Wolves.

“[Maddison] is a lot worse than we thought. He came off with an ankle injury and the next day wasn’t great, so we sent him for a scan.”

The Australian technician added, “Micky, obviously, with that hamstring injury, we knew it was fairly significant, probably a couple of months for him looking into the new year.”

Due to the surgery Richarlison had earlier this month for a groin injury, the Brazilian forward is set to be out for Tottenham.

Defenders Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie, who were both shown red cards against Chelsea, will miss Saturday’s Premier League match against Wolves due to suspension.
