Deontay Wilder’s Trainer: AJ To Beat Fury, Ngannou

Deontay Wilder’s trainer, Malik Scott, believes Anthony Joshua will beat Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou.

The Deontay Wilder’s trainer based this judgment on Fury’s performance against Ngannou in Saudi Arabia, where the British fighter did not have the straightforward victory that many had predicted.

On October 28, in a 10-round non-title bout held at Boulevard Hall in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Cameroon’s Ngannou shocked the boxing world by coming dangerously close to stopping the WBC heavyweight champion.

Fury almost lost his perfect unbeaten record, and it was almost the greatest upset in sports history.

After dropping Fury in the third round, the former UFC heavyweight champion lost via split decision, with scores of 93-96, 95-94, and 94-95, a decision that many boxing fans around the world find disappointing.

After the bout, the talks about Nigerian-born British boxer, Anthony Joshua, facing Fury or Ngannou become more intense.

For more than ten years, Fury and Joshua have been having a series of back-and-forths over agreeing on a professional bout, but nothing concrete has been agreed yet.

In his analysis of the Fury vs Ngannou’s bout, Deontay Wilder’s trainer believes that Fury or Ngannou stand no chance against Joshua if they fight like they did in Saudi Arabia.

“Anthony Joshua against Fury? That Fury, he’ll beat, and I believe (Joshua will) beat Ngannou,” Scott told ESNews.

“There is only one man who knocks him out cold, and I think we know who that is, Deontay Wilder.”
