Popular singer, Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel aka Mayorkun has called on the National Assembly to fix the roads in the country instead of purchasing luxury vehicles for themselves.

Naija News recalls that the legislators have come under heavy backlash after they announced the plan to purchase 2023 model Toyota Prado for 469 members of the Assembly.

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Services, Sunday Karimi, had justified the purchase of the vehicles in a chat with journalists, saying “Nigerian roads are bad.”

Reacting via his Snapchat page recently, singer Mayorkun urged the lawmakers to fix Nigerian roads instead of buying vehicles for themselves.

He wrote, “Road no good, una dey buy new SUV.

“Fix the f**king rLekki Epe Express is Terrible!. Appalling sh*t!

“Nothing like I can drive’ in this country o, I sabi road’ is a better compliment.”

I Will Love To Be A Single Mum In A Movie – Tems Speaks On Acting

Meanwhile, Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi, professionally known as Tems, has expressed hope of acting in a movie someday soon.

The Grammy-award-winning singer said during an interview with BBC in London that she would love to play single-mum roles in movies.

Naija News understands that Tems was raised by a single mother in Lagos, Nigeria.

“I’m ready to act in movies. Not ready right now but I’m already good at acting.

“The first character I would love to play is a single mum. It doesn’t need to be struggling. It could be like a fun single mum or a single mum that has mysteries. A gangster,” the Oscar-nominated diva said.

Tems has now joined the likes of Davido, Wizkid, and Mr Eazi, who have also spoken about joining the movie industry in the past though not as actors but as executives.
