'You Created It' - Adeleke Replies APC Over Portfolio, Controversial SSA Appointments

The leadership of the Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has berated the national secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ajibola Bashiru over his statement that the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke was built on lies.

Naija News recalls that Bashiru on Thursday had claimed that Adeleke was deceiving the Osun people with an urban renewal project that was yet to manifest in the state.

He claimed that the revenue allocation from the federal government has greatly increased yet it did not reflect in the lives of the people in the state.

Reacting to Bashiru’s claims on Friday, the state chairman of the PDP,  Sunday Bisi argued that the APC stalwart overlooked the progress and positive transformation in Osun State.

Speaking via a statement, he insisted that Adeleke is moving the state towards sustainable development by introducing projects such as road infrastructure, upscale healthcare and revamped education.

Bisi urged Basiru to stop wasting his time dreaming that the APC would return to the state.

According to him, “Basiru’s statement overlooks the commendable progress and positive transformations in Osun state under Governor Adeleke’s administration. For the first time in 13 years and in less than a year of PDP administration, Osun state is witnessing a semblance of responsible and empathic governance.

“Governor Adeleke has steered the state towards sustainable development in road infrastructure, upscale healthcare, revamped education, and unprecedented water provision among many people-oriented strides. All these are being achieved in an atmosphere of transparency and accountability, away from the bossy and looting style of the past.”

“The APC faces a conspicuous lack of electoral prospects in 2026 and beyond and this is a dose of truth Basiru must take in intravenously before he wastes more of his idle calories on demented dreams of resurgence.”
