Alia Speaks On Kidnap Of Benue Commissioner, Former LG Chairman

Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has said that his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), is here to stay in the state.

According to him, the ruling party will be in government for a long time.

Alia, while addressing the expanded executive committee meeting of the party at the state secretariat in Makurdi on Monday, asserted that the citizens had rejected the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a statement released through his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Tersoo Kula, the governor boasted that his administration would ensure good governance that would benefit the entire state.

The governor solicited more synergy between the government and the party leadership in the state to enable his administration to deliver the yearnings and aspirations of the masses.

Also, via his Chief of Staff, Paul Biam, Governor Alia assured that his administration would not fail the party and promised to address the yearnings and aspirations of the masses. He reiterated his desire to lead the APC to victory in every election in the state.

In response, the chairman of the APC in the state, Comrade Austin Agada, pledged the party’s readiness to support the governor’s efforts aimed at repositioning the state to greatness.

Agada admonished all local government chairmen of the party to attend any function either organized by the government or for the governor in their numbers to show support and solidarity.
