Nigerian-born British heavyweight boxer, Anthony Joshua, might fight on the same night that Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Uysk will face themselves in a four-belt unification fight.

Eddie Hearn, the agent of Anthony Joshua, said the potential fight between his client and American boxer, Deontay Wilder, which has not gotten a precise date, could take place on either December 23 or January 2024.

If the bout happens on the said date, it might coincide with that of Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Uysk who signed the contract for their fight on Monday. The Fury-Uysk bout will take place in Saudi Arabia, but nothing concrete about the Joshua-wilder fight yet.

The eagerly anticipated matchup between Fury and Uysk will happen soon after Fury’s fight in October with former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.

The rescheduled fight between Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jr. is also likely to take place on the same date the Fury-Uysk showdown will happen. So, boxing fans may be in for another high-profile bout that evening.

While speculating on when Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder will face off, Eddie Hearn said, “It could go on December 23, maybe even as well.

“December 2 is a fantastic card that we’re announcing on Saturday night for Britain, and 23rd is our date for Benn-Eubank.

“And I truly believe that fight will get made for that date.”

He added, “Look, if we get the Eubank fight made, we will go December 23rd because we will have to announce that in the next two weeks.

“I don’t know whether they’re going to go December 23rd, maybe there’s some conversations with them before we announce our fight.

“But that’s our date, and whilst the other fight is not announced, there’s a good chance we’ll go straight up and announce.

“But we’ll have to see. Obviously, we don’t want to go on the same night, it doesn’t make sense for either fight. But we’ll see.”
