Fire Guts Katsina Commissioner’s Country Home

The residence of Katsina State Commissioner of Information and Culture, Bala Zango located in Zangon Daura in the early hours of Saturday was razed by fire.

At the time of filing this report, details surrounding the incident were still unknown.

The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Alhaji Musa Rabiu Mahuta however led the management staff in the ministry on a condolence visit to the town to sympathise with the commissioner.

An official who was part of the entourage who spoke with Punch on condition of anonymity confirmed the incident.

The official who spoke on Saturday evening said, ”You know I am not supposed to speak on this incident, but the country home completely burnt down.”
