Done Deal: Man City Signs Parker Form Man United As Guimaraes Extends Newcastle Stay

English Premier League top club, Manchester City has signed 17-year-old centre-back, Harrison Parker, from rivals, Manchester United.

Popular football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, confirmed this on Tuesday via his X (formerly Twitter) handle.

Naija News understands that Parker is one of United’s most highly-rated youngsters.

The defender, who was said to have been at the Arsenal academy, featured once for the Red Devils in the U-18 Premier League last season.

It was gathered that United were so desperate to keep the player that they offered him the maximum wage for a youth player.

Parker, however, reportedly turned down the offer in favour of moving across to Man City and will now continue his development at the City Football Academy, where the likes of Phil Foden and Rico Lewis have progressed.

“There is interest from many teams. I’m sure that Real Madrid could be one of the clubs that would like to sign Davies”.

“There are several Premier League clubs too, they all want to have one of the best left-backs in the world. We’ll see what happens”, the player’s agent, ’ Huoseh, reportedly told @365Scores earlier.

Bruno Guimaraes Extends Newcastle Stay

Reports also emerging on Tuesday confirmed that Brazilian star, Bruno Guimaraes, has reached an agreement for a contract extension at Newcastle.

“Agreement finally sealed. Bruno Guimarães & Newcastle, new deal until June 2028.

“Release clause in region of £100m,” Romano confirmed on X today.

Naija News understands that the Brazilian had also publicly declared he is ‘staying’ with his celebration after scoring in the 8-0 win at Sheffield United last month before kissing the Newcastle club crest on his shirt.

The player’s representatives are said to have been in contract talks with Newcastle since the back end of last season. When Guimaraes joined The Magpies from Lyon in January 2022 for £ 40 million, it was agreed he would stay until June 2026.

The player is said to have attracted interest from the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool in the Premier League and even admitted to having ‘a conversation’ with Real Madrid last summer as the La Liga giants looked for midfield reinforcements after losing Casemiro to Manchester United.

The new deal, however, is expected to be announced by the club ahead of Newcastle’s Champions League home match against Paris Saint-Germain at St James’ Park. It will be The Magpies’ first Champions League match at St James’ Park in over 20 years, Naija News reports.
