Former Manchester United player, Alex Sanchez, may return to his former club, Inter Milan, this summer.

Naija News reports that Sanchez mutually terminated his contract with Inter Milan on 8 August 2022.

The 34-year-old Chilean professional footballer is currently a free agent.

However, popular football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, said on Monday that Inter Milan CEO Moratta had confirmed the forward wants to return to the Serie A giants this summer.

In a post via his Twitter page today, Romano said: “Alexis Sánchez could return to Inter, as CEO Marotta confirms: “Correa wants to have more space and yes, Sánchez is keen on returning here.

“Alexis sent us clear messages about his desire to re-join Inter, it’s true”.

Sanchez became a free agent this summer following the expiration of his contract with French Ligue 1 side Marseille.

The 34-year-old forward has played for Inter Milan, Manchester United, Udinise, Arsenal and Barcelona in the past.

John Stones Won’t Play For Manchester City Until September

Meanwhile, the manager of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola, has confirmed that the club’s defender, John Stones, will be sidelined until after the international break.

This means that John Stones won’t be able to play for Manchester City until after September 12, as the next international break is from 4 to 12 of September 2023.

Stones, 29, sat on the sidelines for City’s Super Cup victory and missed City’s opening two Premier League games because of a muscle injury he sustained during pre-season, Naija News reports.

The injury could prevent him from playing for England in a Euro qualification match against Ukraine and a friendly match against Scotland during the break.

John Stones will also miss Manchester City’s next two Premier League games – against Sheffield United on August 27 and Fulham on September 2.

Stones’ injury came before Kevin de Bruyne underwent surgery for a hamstring injury that might keep him out of football for four months.

Meanwhile, Manchester City’s Spanish defender Aymeric Laporte will move to Al-Nassr and earn €20 million annually.

The defender is expected to sign a contract with the Saudi Pro League club that will keep him in the middle east until the summer of 2026.
