The three match-week-two Premier League fixtures which took place simultaneously this afternoon, August 19, ended in big victories for Liverpool, Brighton, and Brentford.

Liverpool had a big scare when Antoine Semenyo scored the opener for Bournemouth as early as the 3rd minute. But they were able to stage a comeback thanks to Luis Díaz’s strike in the 27th minute.

Mohamed Salah doubled Liverpool’s lead at Afield in the 36th minute but their second half started with a big scare when newly signed Alexis Mac Allister was shown the red card in the 58th minute after arriving late into a studs-up challenge on Christie just outside Bournemouth’s box.

Despite playing with one man down, Diogo Jota stepped up to score Liverpool’s third goal in the 62nd minute to seal the home team’s 3-1 win.

At Molineux Stadium, Brighton were unstoppable as they smashed their hosts, Wolves 1-4 to announce that their last season’s Europa League qualification was not a fluke.

Mitoma’s 15th minute, Estupiñán’s 46th minute, and two goals from March within four minutes (51st and 55th minutes) sealed the 4-1 victory for Brighton.

Wolves tried to fight back when South Korean Hwang Hee-chan scored in the 61st minute. However, their late fightback ended them with one man less when Matheus Nunes was red-carded in injury time.

While at Craven Cottage, Brentford made themselves feel at home away from home as they spanked their hosts, Fulham 3-0.

Yoane Wissa opened the scoring in the 44th minute before it became Bryan Mbeumo’s show in the second half. He scored from the spot in the 66th minute and sealed the win in injury time.
