Adamu Garba Reacts As Petrol Pump Price Hits N617 Under Tinubu's Watch

Former Presidential aspirant and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adamu Garba, has urged France and America to avoid pressurising President Bola Tinubu into making a wrong decision in restoring peace to the Niger Republic.

Naija News recalls that in an effort to restore Niger to democratic government after the junta seized power in July, the ECOWAS had mulled military intervention in the country.

The decision of the leaders of the regional bloc had stimulated controversy and tension in Nigeria as the junta in Burkina Faso, Mali, joined forces with Niger and vowed to resist if the military intervened in Niger.

The United States also backed the ECOWAS decision and demanded more pressure on the Niger junta to release President Mohamed Bazoum, who has been held in his residence since the military ousted him on July 26.

In a post via Twitter, Adamu Garba, averred the distraction of France and America is becoming too unnecessary.

According to him, Nigerians trust Tinubu’s ability to do the right thing because of his capabilities.

The APC chieftain added that America and France could go ahead with the Niger military invasion if they cared so much about democracy in the country.

He wrote: “Dear France and America,

“Please leave our President alone!

“We voted for him as the best among all the people vying for Presidential office in Nigeria, we believe in him but your distractions is so unnecessary.

“We know him, we trust in his capabilities, we know he can do the job. Don’t spoil our plans with yours. Go and do your invasions of Niger if you so much care for your democracy. We have a lot to do in Nigeria and we need our President capacity and vision at home, in Nigeria, not in Niger or anywhere else.

“Please leave our President alone. We are tired of your machinations. Don’t spoil our show”
