Police Deny Report On Alleged Certificate Forgery Against Gov Aiyedatiwa

The Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi has reacted after a viral video of the Osun State House of Assembly Speaker, Adewale Egbedun confronted some police officers extorting money from road users.

As earlier reported by Naija News, Egbedun bumped into some police officers extorting money from road users in the state and expressed his displeasure.

In the viral video, some police officers were seen covering their faces as a voice in the background claimed they were extorting money from youths.

According to him, the speaker collected back the money from them, and he was also seen in the video urging the youths to make a video of the police officers.

Reacting, Adejobi revealed via his Twitter account on Friday that the affected police officers have been arrested, other necessary action would be taken and updates provided later.

The Force PRO reiterated that the Police has zero tolerance for extortion and corruption.

He wrote: “The Commissioner of Police Osun State, CP Kehinde Longe, has acted on this. The officers have been arrested, and necessary action would be taken. The PPRO osun has been ordered to update us on the actions taken. We have zero tolerance for extortion and corruption in general.”
