After a series of back and forth, Tottenham Hotspur has finally reached an agreement to sell the club’s all-time top scorer to German Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich.

Since Robert Lewandowski left Bayern Munich for FC Barcelona two summers ago, the German Bundesliga serial winners have been in search of a proven forward to fill in the void. Unfortunately, they have not been so lucky.

Last summer, Bayern were very close to having a perfect replacement for Lewandowski when they signed Sadio Mane from Liverpool. But the Senegalese forward only shone in his first two months at the club before he was down with an injury. After he recovered from the injury, he couldn’t find his form again.

This summer, Mane decided to leave the Bundesliga champions for Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr since it was obvious that his chances of playing regularly at the club were limited.

After his exit, Bayern became desperate for a replacement and Harry Kane who has been consistent with scoring double-digit goals in the Premier League every season became the ideal striker for the club.

So far this summer, Bayern have made four offers to Tottenham Hotspur to sign Harry Kane whose contract will expire next summer, but the North London side rejected the bids.

But earlier this week, Bayern made their 5th offer reportedly worth more than €100 million for the 30-year-old Harry Kane which Spurs have reportedly accepted according to David Ornstein of The Athletic.

It is now left for Harry Kane to reach an agreement with Bayern Munich on personal terms for the deal to be sealed as soon as possible.
