Photos: Ganduje Presides Over First NWC Meeting As APC Chairman

The new national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje on Tuesday presided over the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) meeting.

Naija News reports Tuesday’s NWC meeting is the first Ganduje would oversee since he emerged as the APC National Chairman.

The meeting took place at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.

Recall Ganduje was elected as the party’s national chairman during a national executive committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja on August 3.

A former Senate spokesperson, Ajibola Basiru, was similarly elected as the party’s national secretary.

This follows the resignation of Abdullahi Adamu and Iyiola Omisore as the APC National Chairman and National Secretary respectively.

Defection: PDP’s Anyim Pius Meets APC Chairman, Ganduje

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Anyim Pius, on Sunday, met with the new National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Ganduje.

Naija News understands that Anyim visited the former Governor of Kano State at his residence in Abuja yesterday for a closed-door meeting.

It could be recalled that Anyim, a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, recently met with President Bola Tinubu at Aso Rock.

Many have interpreted the recent moves by the PDP chieftain as a plot to defect to the ruling APC.
