Ministerial Nominee: Buhari's Critic, Tijani May Lead Tech Innovations
Bosun Tijani

Bosun Tijani, a staunch critic of the immediate past President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, may be appointed as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to lead in the area of Technology and Innovations.

An All Progressives Congress (APC) group under the aegis Young Professionals revealed this in a statement on Friday, August 4.

Naija News reports that Tijani is one of the ministerial nominees in the second batch of the list forwarded to the Senate on Wednesday by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Reacting to Tijani’s inclusion in the ministerial list, the APC group expressed optimism about the impact the citizen’s appointment could have on the party and President Tinubu’s administration.

The youths cited his impressive track record as a seasoned technocrat and his extensive experience in the technology and innovation sector, making him a valuable addition to the Tinubu administration.

According to Daily Post, the group’s spokesperson, Dayo Ogunyemi, believes his appointment reflects a commitment to harnessing the potential of technology and innovation to drive economic growth and development.

“Bosun Tijani’s nomination reflects a clear commitment by President Tinubu to embrace technology and innovation as crucial drivers of economic growth and development in Nigeria.

“We are thrilled with Bosun Tijani’s nomination, as it underscores the leadership’s dedication to harnessing technology’s potential for propelling our nation towards sustainable economic progress,” Ogunyemi reportedly said.

Flashback: Buhari A Sick And Disconnected Man To Rule Nigeria

Rewind back to 2020, Tijani, in a Twitter post, questioned why the then President, Muhammadu Buhari, was allowed to rule a country like Nigeria.

He described the Katsina man as a sick and disconnected man who lacked the quality of leadership.

The honest men and women around Buhari should help us understand why they will give their lives for a sick and disconnected man to rule Nigeria at all cost. Please explain how Buhari is qualified to lead a nation like Nigeria. Please help us understand.

“Doing everything possible to keep Buhari in power is nothing but a disservice, in my opinion, and that makes you a dishonest person. Too many people are in pain and can use urgent leadership in Nigeria. If you get in the way of them trying credible options, you are an enemy,” Tijani wrote on Twitter on April 19, 2020.
