Samuel Chukwueze Expected In Milan This Week

Nigeria international Samuel Chukwueze is getting closer to completing his dream move to Italian Serie A club AC Milan this summer.

Naija News has reported that AC Milan and Chukwueze’s current club, Villarreal have agreed on a deal worth €28 million, which includes €20 million upfront and €8 million in bonuses.

As both clubs have agreed on the transfer fee for Chukwueze whose current deal with the Spanish club will expire next summer, the player and the Italian club have already agreed on personal terms.

Earlier today, Italian transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano reported that Samuel Chukwueze is “expected in Italy this week to become the new Rossoneri player”.

He added that “AC Milan are sealing final details of the deal to sign Samuel Chukwueze — as documents will be checked today [July 24].”

Hours after sharing that, the transfer guru gave an update that “AC Milan are waiting for final green light then will start to exchange documents with Villarreal for Samuel Chukwueze deal.”

This means that the 24-year-old Nigeria international could be announced as AC Milan’s new arrival before the end of this week.

Since he gained promotion from Villarreal’s youth system on November 1, 2018, Chukwueze has played 227 games in all competitions in which he scored 41 goals and provided 33 assists. He has won just one major title with the club, the Europa League in 2021.
