Abdullahi Adamu: There Is No Crisis In APC - Etta

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hilliard Etta, has said there is no crisis in the ruling party following the resignation of the National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu.

Naija News reported that Senator Abubakar Kyari assumed office on Monday as acting National Chairman of the ruling party following the resignation of Senator Abdullahi Adamu on Sunday night.

In an interview with Arise News on Monday, the former Acting APC National Chairman said the resignation of Adamu and the National Secretary of the ruling, Senator Iyiola Omisore, is out of personal choice.

Etta asserted that Adamu’s resignation will have no negative bearing on the party as the party’s leadership is working harmoniously towards achieving its planned objectives.

Rise Above Petty Politics, Pick APC National Chairman From South East – Chidoka Tells Tinubu

Former Minister of Aviation, Osita Chdoka, has asked President Bola Tinubu to rise above petty politics and pick the next National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the South East.

Reacting to the development via a Twitter post on Monday, Chidoka said zoning the APC chairmanship to the South East would be a step in the right direction and ensure inclusive representation.

The chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said it will be only fair to allow the South East to produce the APC chairman since other critical positions in the country are held by Nigerians from other regions.

Chidoka said the resignation of Adamu presents an opportunity for the ruling party to reaffirm its national credentials and depart from its inglorious past of naked nepotism and gross insensitivity to the national consensus.
