Premier League club Fulham have rejected a £25 million offer from Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal for the services of Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Aleksandar Mitrovic moved from Newcastle United to Fulham in 2018 for a transfer fee reportedly worth £22 million. His current contract with Fulham has three years left to expire.

Fulham reportedly rejected Al-Hilal’s bid outrightly and has no plans to sell Mitrovic this summer, according to a BBC report. This means that the Saudi Pro League side are not expected to make a second attempt to convince the Premier League club.

Before now, Al-Hilal have completed the signing of Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly from Chelsea and Portuguese star Ruben Neves from Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer.

When Fulham gained promotion to the Premier League ahead of the 2022-2023 season, Aleksandar Mitrovic guided them to a 10th-place finish in the elite league.

The Serbian midfielder broke the Championship scoring record with 43 goals in 44 games during their promotion-winning campaign in the 2021-2022 season.

However, his debut Premier League season was not entirely rosy. Recall that Aleksandar Mitrovic was banned for eight games and fined £75,000 for shoving referee Chris Kavanagh during Fulham’s FA Cup quarterfinal loss to Manchester United in April.

Mitrovic who made his international debut on June 7, 2013, for Serbia’s national team, has scored 52 goals in 81 games for the country. He is currently the country’s all-time leading goalscorer.
