PDP Speaks About Suspension Of Bukola Saraki 

The Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reacted to rumours about the alleged suspension of a former Senate President, Bukola Saraki.

Naija News gathered that the Kwara PDP described reports of the suspension of Saraki, a two-term former governor of the state, as unfounded.

In a communique issued after the State Working Committee (SWC) meeting in Ilorin, the party revealed that the reality is contrary to rumours making the rounds that the committee suspended Saraki.

The communique signed by the state party Chairman, Babatunde Mohammed, and the state Secretary, Abdulrazaq Lawal, noted that the rumours are being circulated by a group of people who aim to cause disharmony within the party.

It explained that the enlarged meeting called on June 1, 2023, to review the outcome of the 2023 general elections “was misconstrued or misrepresented by some disgruntled elements.”

The communique reads in parts: “We urge our party members and supporters to be calm and discountenance the purported rumoured suspension of our leader, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki, by the State Working Committee members as mischievously circulated by some people aimed at causing disharmony in the party.”  

The party, therefore, appealed to members and supporters to be calm and discountenance the rumoured suspension of the former two-term governor of the state.
