INEC Begins Distribution Of Sensitive Election Materials In Kano – [Photos]

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has, ahead of Saturday, March 18, gubernatorial elections, commenced the distribution of sensitive election materials in Kano State.

Naija News understands that the election materials had been kept in the custody of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

The electoral body, however, has retrieved them and commenced dispatching the materials across the 44 local government areas of Kano state ahead of Saturday polls.

The materials were billed to be dispatched around 9:00 am on Wednesday (today), but the exercise reportedly started by 11.30 am, Naija News learnt.

Kano APC Gov Candidate Meets Buhari Ahead Of Elections

Earlier on Tuesday, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna visited President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja.

Gawuna, who is also the incumbent Deputy Governor of Kano state was received by the President at his official residence at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The Special Assistant on Digital Communications to President Buhari, Bashir Ahmad, confirmed the meeting sharing some photos on his social media page. Ahmad, however, did not disclose the agenda of the meeting.
