You Sacrificed Lagos For Nigeria – MC Oluomo’s Son Causes Stirs With Cryptic Message

Idowu Akinsanya, son of the Lagos State Parks Management Committee Chairman, Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has caused stirs on social media after sending a cryptic congratulatory message to his father over All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential election results announced so far.

Naija News understands that Akinsanya congratulated his father via his Instastories earlier on Tuesday, saying he sacrificed Lagos State to win Nigeria (referring to APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu‘s wide margin ahead of his opponents in the 2023 presidential election despite losing Lagos).

Idowu’s message came after the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, was declared winner of the presidential election in Lagos, defeating Tinubu and other contestants.

Police React To Video Of MC Oluomo Allegedly Stopping Igbos From Voting At His Polling Unit

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has reacted to a viral video showing MC Oluomo threatening and restraining the Igbo people from voting at his Polling Unit in Lagos.

Naija News understands that a netizen (@chude__) had shared the clip on Twitter, calling the force’s attention to the event at the polling unit in Fehintola Giwa Street, Aguda, Surulere, Lagos.

Chude further alleged that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) refused to redeploy its comprised REC, Agbaje, adding that “MC Oluomo made sure that materials didn’t get to their destinations.”

Reacting to the clip, which has received a barrage of reactions on the microblogging platform, the Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, assured that the video would be investigated.

Hundeyin described the event as criminal and violating the Electoral Act 2022.

“While the video will be investigated to know if it’s an old, recycled one or not, it should be noted that this is criminal and totally against the Electoral Act, 2022.

“Violators will be prosecuted,” Hundeyin said.
