Gbenga Daniel Breaks Silence Over Police Officer's Death In His Residence

Former Ogun State Governor, Gbenga Daniel has won the Ogun East Senatorial Seat at Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections in Ekiti State.

Naija News gathered that Daniel, who contested on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), defeated his contenders in the other political parties with 115,147 votes to emerge the winner

According to the results sheet signed by the Returning Officer, Prof Christopher Onwuka, his closest rival in the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Barr. Ajibola Kalejaiye had 58,708 votes while the Labour Party (LP) candidate, Banjoko Kazeem Adesina scored 13,061 votes.

Meanwhile, it was also gathered that the APC National Women Leader, Dr Betty Adu delivered her local government area to the party in a landslide victory.

It was gathered that at her Ibalebo polling unit, indicated APC scored 93, PDP- 61 and LP – 34, while at the ward level at the Adadama Ward, APC had 511, PDP – 480 and LP – 186.

The result from her local government area, Abi local shows APC- 8011, PDP-5943 and LP- 3557.

Abi local government area is also where the leader of PDP in the State, former Governor Liyel Imoke comes from.
