APC Presidential Candidate, Bola Tinubu and PDP candidate Atiku Abubakar

The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, lost to his counterpart in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, at a Polling Unit near Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s domain in Kaduna.

The outcome of polls at Polling Unit 026, as announced by the Returning Officer for the area, Maryam Abubakar, showed that Atiku polled 116 votes.

APC garnered 84 votes, while Labour Party had 3 votes, and the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) got 19 votes. According to Abubakar, there were 29 Invalid votes at the polling unit.

However, while voting results are still trooping in across polling units in all states, Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong, is optimistic that APC will emerge victorious in the Presidential and National Assembly elections.

Naija News understands that the Governor spoke after casting his vote at his polling unit in Ajikamai, Shendam Local Government Area of the state on Saturday.

Lalong, who is running for the Senatorial seat of Plateau South District after serving his second and last tenure as the governor, is the Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.
