Burna Boy Speaks About Childhood Dreams Of Playing Basketball At NBA

Afrobeats singer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has disclosed that one of his childhood dreams was to be a basketball.
According to the singer, as a young child, he so much dreamt of building a career around professional basketball playing.
Naija News gathered that the grammy award-winning singer shared his childhood career dreams when he was featured in an interview after his recent performance at the 2023 National Basketball Association (NBA), All-Star Game halftime on February 19 alongside Tems and Rema.
He disclosed that it was his dream to play at the NBA as a professional basketball one day.
Burna Boy said even though he didn’t get to play with NBA, he was excited his dream still came through as a singer who performed at NBA and not a basketball player.
He submitted that “I’ve got too many…too many. Like I said before, I wanted to play basketball at first. I was in high school, in the basketball team. And we used to kill everyone.
“Since then….even before then, it had always been a dream of mine to play basketball. But obviously, the road of life turned different.
“And yeah! I’m here still at the NBA. You know what I mean? I still made it to the NBA.
“I had dreams of playing in the NBA as a kid. But you know, I got to perform at the NBA. So, you know, I guess I made it….either way.”
