Some leaders and chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday attended the party’s Presidential campaign rally in Rivers State.

Naija News reports that the presidential rally was held at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, popularly known as Liberation Stadium in Port Harcourt, the state capital.

Security in the main bowl of the stadium was tight as party supporters were searched before entering due to the security situation in the State.

The APC leaders were in the state to solicit votes for the party ahead of February 25 presidential and National Assembly elections and March 11 Governorship and State House of Assembly elections.

Below are some of the APC stalwarts at the rally.

The APC flagbearer, Bola Tinubu; his running mate, Kashim Shettima; APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu; the Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council and Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong, and the Deputy Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Counci, Adams Oshiomhole.

Also at the event were the former Governor of Ekiti, Kayode Fayemi; Minister of State for Petroleum, Timipre Sylva; Governors Abubakar Bagudu (Kebbi), David Umahi (Ebonyi), Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Tonye Cole, governorship candidate of the APC in the state, among others.

However, former governor of Rivers and former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, was not in attendance at the rally.

Amaechi, who had also contested the presidential ticket of the APC, has not attended most presidential campaign rallies of the APC except the rally held in Adamawa .
