JUST IN: PDP Group Calls For Review Of 2023 Election Performance

At least six campaign coordinators of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State have reportedly dumped the party for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The politicians said their unanimous decision to defect to the PDP ten days before the 2023 general elections followed due consultation with their followers at the grassroots.

The concerned persons formed the APC gubernatorial campaign council in the state and were supposed to be mobilizing electorates for the party’s candidate ahead of next month’s governorship election before they suddenly announced their defection.

The development has now created a wide vacuum in the camp of the APC governorship candidate in Bauchi, retired Air Marshal Sadique Baba Abubakar, Naija News reports.

The chairman of the coordinators, Comrade Nasiru Khalid, confirmed their decision on Tuesday at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Bauchi. He said the progressive blueprint of the PDP-led administration in Bauchi lured them to the party, adding that they would contribute immensely to the party’s victory in the state.

He boasts further that the delegation will continue to mobilize and canvass votes for candidates under the platform of the PDP, considering the party’s blueprint, which according to him, will benefit the citizenry.

In his remark earlier, Bauchi State governor, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, said his administration had improved the living standard of citizens through massive empowerment despite the economic challenges, saying more dividends of democracy would be delivered if reelected.
