Northern APC Govs Won’t Deliver For Tinubu – Ex-NHIS Boss

A former Executive Secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme, Usman Yusuf on Monday said none of the northern governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will be able to deliver their state for the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

Yusuf stated this during an interview on Channels TV.

He described Tinubu as a regional politician, whose strength only lies in the South-West, especially Lagos State.

The ex-NHIS secretary claimed that the former governor of Lagos State does not have experience in national politics.

He said, “None of the APC governors in the North, has the goodwill of the people to deliver anything to him (Tinubu), none.

“His inexperience is showing,” adding that it is only in Lagos “where he is alpha and omega, nobody challenges him.”

Yusuf claimed that the APC presidential candidate is not talking to the people in the North, but only sub-contracting his campaign to praise singers and APC governors.

He said, “When it comes to the campaign hosting, he only dances and leaves.”

He further stated that President Muhammadu Buhari has lost his influence and goodwill internationally and nationally.

Yusuf said due to President Buhari’s lack of influence, he might find it difficult to hand over to a candidate from the APC, adding that wish of the people will prevail.
