2023: APC Loses 17,299 Members To PDP In Sokoto

The Sokoto State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has lost thousands of its members to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

The development was confirmed by the Governorship candidate of PDP in the state, Saidu Umar.

Umar disclosed that the defectors were received into the party during PDP’s campaign in Silame LG.

The PDP Governorship candidate in a post on his Twitter account wrote, “earlier today, we took our campaign to Silame LG people. The reception accorded us was thrilling and massive. We were greeted with the tornado-kind defection of APC Supporters, as 17, 299 of its Members set course into our party.”

Makinde Speaks To Oyo State People Ahead Of Crucial 2023 Election

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has sent a note of appreciation to the people of the state, thanking them for their support for his administration.

The Governor submitted that his administration couldn’t have achieved what it has achieved so far without the support of the people.

Makinde stated this in his new year message issued in Ibadan on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Taiwo Adisa.

He also expressed confidence that the people of Oyo State would give him the chance to lead them again as he seeks a second term in office during the 2023 general elections.
