The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Monday, visited Birnin Gwari community in the Birnin Gwari Local Government of Kaduna State.

Naija News reports that the former Governor of Lagos State visited the town to commiserate with the victims of bandits’ attacks that occurred last week.

Tinubu was accompanied by his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima; the Director General of APC Presidential Campaign Council and Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong; Governors Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano), Atiku Bagudu (Kennie), and Abubakar Badaru (Jigawa).

The APC flagbearer was also accompanied by the host governor, Nasir El-Rufai; the state’s APC governorship candidate, Senator Uba Sani, and other top government functionaries.

After inspecting the level of damage in the town, Tinubu paid homage to the Emir of Birnin-Gwari, His Royal Highness (HRH) Zubair Jibril Megwari II, where he donated 50 Million naira to cushion the effect of bandits’ attacks on residents of the community.

The former governor was later conferred with the traditional title of Dakaren Birnin Gwari (the Dakaren title means the Fearless Warrior).

The monarch also bestowed on Governor El- Rufai the traditional title of Sadaukin Birnin Gwari.

Tinubu Meets Daniel Amokachi Ahead Of APC Mega Rally In Kaduna – [Photos]

Meanwhile, Tinubu and former Super Eagles player and manager, Daniel Amokachi, met in Kaduna State on Monday (today).

Naija News reports that Tinubu arrived in Kaduna earlier today ahead of APC’s mega rally scheduled for Tuesday in the State.

The Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai first received the presidential hopeful at the Dana Air wing of the Nigerian Airbase in the state before meeting other dignitaries.

On Tinubu’s entourage are his running mate, Sen. Kashim Shettima, and other top party leaders led by the director-general of the campaign and Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong.

Naija News understands that Amokachi has not hidden his support for the former Governor of Lagos who is hoping to become the next president of Nigeria after President Muhammadu Buhari.
