Music producer cum artiste, Samuel Oguachuba popularly known as Samklef has weighed in on ‘the rap is dead’ statement made by his colleague, Wizkid.
Naija News reports Wizkid’s controversial statement has sparked various reactions and debates with some, especially his fans accepting and supporting his stance, while others disagreed with the singer.
Addressing the issue on Saturday, media personality and pioneer of ‘free the sheeple’ movement launched a joint IG live session where he invited some music veterans such as Kas, Soso Soberekon, and Samklef to chip in their thoughts.
Soso while speaking argued that Wizkid, at the beginning of his career in Surulere, Lagos was a rapper, while Samklef who took it from there insisted that Wizkid is not a fantastic singer.
He went on to draw a controversial comparison between Iyanya and Wizkid, saying that he doesn’t know who will win if both artistes perform at an audition.
