Nwoko Speaks On Wike’s Alleged Influence In Emergence Of Minority Leaders

Billionaire businessman and former House of Representatives member, Ned Nwoko, has again called for the dismissal of the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike from the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP).

Naija News reports that Nwoko’s latest request to dismiss Wike, who is the leader of the five PDP aggrieved governors, is not the first, as he has insisted that the governor has caused more harm to the PDP family.

Nwoko claimed that the reason why Wike is trying to destroy the PDP family is because he out-spent by the party’s flag bearer, Atiku Abubakar and other aspirants during the party’s presidential primaries.

According to him, Wike has been at loggerheads with the PDP leadership after he lost at the party’s presidential primaries.

In a statement issued by Nwoko, he queried if Wike would have worked against Atiku in similar circumstances if he was picked as his running mate.

Wike and his G-5 group have been agitating for the removal of the party’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.

The five aggrieved governors have since refused to campaign for Atiku even though it claims it has no personal grudges against him.

Naija News, however, gathered that Nwoko in the statement noted that Wike was fighting a battle of selfish and personal interest, and he shouldn’t be allowed to destroy the party.

He observed that “Wike is trying to destroy a house we all built. Yes, he was not nominated as the presidential candidate of the PDP, he also lost out in his quest to be the vice presidential candidate and we all participated in the whole process.

“It was very transparent; he spent so much money. He outspent virtually everybody else. He did; he out-spent Atiku but the battle was fought and won or lost as the case may be.

“But that is not a reason to pull down his own party. He has taken his vendetta too far.
“The only question I always ask is, what if Wike has been chosen by Atiku and he is campaigning with Atiku as Atiku is doing now, will be in the same bend be asking the national chairman to resign or go?

“He should be expelled. He has done enough damage, there is nothing more Wike can do.”
