Super Eagles Star Ready To Sign New £100k Per Week Deal

Super Eagles star, Alex Iwobi, is about to get a hefty three-and-a-half-year contract.

The Nigerian International is about to agree to an enticing contract extension with English Premier League team, Everton.

The 26-year-old midfielder will get a new three-and-a-half-year contract after some time spent in negotiations with the team.

The player’s agents are said to have already wrapped up negotiations since the Toffees are eager to lock him down.

According to further sources, Iwobi will also make £100,000 per week, a significant increase from his present deal, which he has only 18 months remaining on and pays him £70,000 per week.

Iwobi struggled at Everton at first after moving there from Arsenal in 2019, but he has found success there. In 15 league games for the Toffees this year, he has one goal and six assists.

Etim Esin criticises the Super Eagles.

Meanwhile, Naija News earlier reported that the Ex-Super Eagles slams the Super Eagles for their lack of patriotism to the country following Ghana’s effort in their World Cup opener against Portugal.

Esin accuses his countrymen of playing without zeal in contrast to how the Black stars of Ghana play for their country.

Recall that the Ghanaians secured their World Cup ticket with a draw against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

He claims that Ghanaian national players, in contrast to their Nigerian counterparts, have a greater sense of patriotism and a greater drive to win.
