Governor Muhammadu Badaru of Jigawa State has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will emerge as the next President in 2023.

Badaru stated this on Monday during the inauguration of the Stakeholders Special Duties Directorate of the Presidential Campaign Council of the APC in Abuja.

The governor stated that the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP), Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, are no match for Tinubu.

He also described the APC candidate and his running mate, Kashim Shettima, as the best team to deliver dividends of democracy to Nigerians.

Governor Badaru said that Tinubu had impacted individuals, groups, and states and expressed the belief that he would improve the lives of Nigerians if elected as President in 2023.

He, however, advised Nigerians to choose competency and ignore the religious sentiment in some quarters regarding the same-faith presidential ticket of the ruling party.

The governor expressed the belief that the Directorate would deliver twenty million votes in favour of Tinubu and the APC in the 2023 general elections.

In her remarks, the Coordinator of the Directorate, Senator Grace Bent, said the major focus of the Directorate was to manage and resolve the public religious outcry against APC’s 2023 Muslim-Muslim ticket.

She added that the Directorate will buy back the affection of some Nigerians upset with the same-faith ticket.

Also speaking, the Secretary of the Directorate, Pastor Timothy Ademola, stressed that the group would hit the ground running to achieve its mandate.
