Funke Akindele Causes Stir With Erroneous Tweet, Deletes Post

Nollywood actress and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Deputy Governorship candidate in Lagos State, Funke Akindele has caused a stir online with an erroneous social media post.

Naija News reports that Funke took to her official Twitter page to announce the official kick-off of the governorship campaign.

She further expressed appreciation to the residents of Lagos for their support leading to the campaign period.

However, Funke Akindele made a big mistake by excluding the name of the aspiring Governor, Olajide Adediran (Jandor), and wrote ‘Funke and I’.

The Jenifa crooner, however, deleted the post following the reactions from many Nigerians.

She tweeted: “Dear Lagosians, the journey to saving Lagos from captivity and bad governance has officially started. “Funke and I” are grateful for the overwhelming support we have received leading to this remarkable…”

While some claimed it was a mistake from Funke others said it was a ‘copy and past’ post as Funke would have probably copied from the social media page of Jandor.
