2023: PDP To Kick Off Presidential Campaign On Oct 10
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is set to commence its presidential campaign on Monday, 10 October 2022.
The Director General of PDP National Campaign Management Committee (NCMC), Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal on Tuesday disclosed that the kick-off will be held in Akwa Ibom State.
Tambuwal, while addressing newsmen at Atiku’s campaign office in Wuse, Abuja, described the presidential candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar as the most prepared.
The Governor of Sokoto State further stated that only the former vice president of Nigeria can provide the required leadership in Nigeria.
According to Tambuwal, Atiku has experience in governance at the federal level, adding that none of the presidential candidates can match him.
Tambuwal added, “And this is not the time for Nigeria to go into trial and error. It’s time for Nigeria to give it to the person that has been tested and who has the experience, who can do a good job.”
He noted that the fact that the main opposition party inaugurated their campaign team on the date the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) removed an embargo placed on campaigns shows that Atiku will hit the ground running when elected President.
Tambuwal stated, “we will flag off campaign in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on October, 10th 2022.
“We will travel throughout to the nooks and crannies of this country particularly moved around the states to solicit for votes.”
The Sokoto State Governor assured that the presidential campaign of PDP will be issue-based.
He added that “our principal, Atiku is a peace ambassador and we will be peaceful in our conduct.”
