Gov Buni Makes Fresh Appointments In Yobe

Yobe State Governor and former caretaker committee chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mai Mala Muni, has commiserated with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and family members of House of Representatives candidate for 2023 in Yobe, Mohammed Bukar (aka Tero) over his death.

Reports obtained by Naija News on Saturday claimed that the politician died on Saturday morning after battling a protracted disease.

The deceased was hoping to represent Damaturu, Gujba, Gulani and Tarmuwa Federal Constituency in Yobe State when death knocked on him.

Represented by his Deputy, Idi Barde Gubana, at the burial of the Muslim faithful moments ago, Governor Buni prayed to God to forgive Bukar’s shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul Firdausi.

Naija News learnt that a funeral prayer was held for the late politician at Yobe Mosque and Islamic Centre, Damaturu.

A source who pleaded to remain anonymous told Daily Post that the politician died at the Yobe State University Teaching Hospital in Damaturu in the early hours of Saturday after a protracted illness.

He claimed Bukar died of liver-related disease.

Joining the host of others in sympathizing with the family of the deceased, Yobe State Water Corporation took to its social media page, Facebook to mourn Bukar.

Its message reads: “With total submission to the will of Allah (S.W.T), we announce the death of Comrade Mohammed M. Bukar, Former General Manager Yobe State Water Corporation. May Jannatil Firdausie his final abode”, the Corporation posted.”

Naija News understand that Bukar was the immediate past General Manager of Yobe State Water Corporation before venturing into politics.

The deceased is survived by three wives and fourteen children.
