2023: APC Confirms Date To Officially Unveil Shettima As Tinubu's Running Mate

Benue State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), on Sunday ended its 7 days of fasting and prayers against the All Progressive Congress (APC) Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket decision.

Rev. Akpen Leva, the state CAN Chairman while speaking at the end of the interdenominational prayer service held at NKST Church Iortyer in Makurdi, expressed that the 7 days fast and prayer sessions were organised due to what they felt was a slap in the face of Christian in Nigeria.

Leva told the congregation that the state CAN chapter had submitted to God, a devilish decision against the children of Christ and asked God to ensure that the APC loses in the 2023 presidential election.

“CAN has taken a definite stand on the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the APC. We won’t support it, we stand to condemn it in this nation and Christians in this country will not support it.

“It is a slap in the face of all Christians in Nigeria nation.

“The 7 days prayer and fasting was to seek God’s face against the APC and her presidential candidate Bola Tinubu to lose in the 2023 election.

“The Muslim Muslim ticket decision of the APC is not just a slap in face of Christian but an attempt to bring religious disunity that is capable of dividing Nigeria,” the CAN Chairman explained.

He also urged Christians across Nigeria to defend themselves against attacks targeted at annihilating the children of Christ in the country.

Meanwhile, Governor Samuel Ortom who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Dr. Tivlumun Nyitse, encouraged Christians to rise up and defend themselves against invaders whose agenda was to grab the people’s land.

The governor commended the church for her continuous support for his administration over the past seven years.
