There were celebrations yesterday after kidnappers released three female students of Kaduna State College of Education (KSCOE), Gidan Waya.

Naija News understands that the young ladies were abducted three days ago and their abductors had made demand for a huge ransome.

The identity of the students abducted earlier were revealed as Racheal Edwin, Esther Ishaya, Promise Tanimu, and Beauty Luka, all in Jemaa Local Government Area of the state.

Speaking with Daily Trust earlier on the incident, President of the Student Union, Comrade Benjamin Fie said: “The abductors are already demanding a huge ransom for their release. We want to use this medium to urge the college community and all the students to commit themselves, the school and their parents to prayers.”

Fie, however, on Saturday, confirmed to newsmen that the students have been released on Friday.

He did not disclose if any ransom was paid.
He only said they were rushed to Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa Memorial Hospital in Kafanchan for a medical checkup after which they were reunited with their relatives.

Meanwhile, a student of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, identified as Becky Inuwa, who was kidnapped along the Maiduguri expressway has regained freedom after two years.

Naija News reports that her classmate, Godwin, via Twitter announced that Becky was kidnapped along Maiduguri road in October 2020.

He had called on well-meaning Nigerians to pray that Becky’s captors released her back to her family.

Sharing her photo, he wrote; “She was kidnapped along Maiduguri Road since October 2020 and up till now we don’t know her whereabouts. Please we need your prayers for Becky Inuwa. Let her Captors release her in”
