Liverpool players celebrating FA Cup title win against Chelsea

Liverpool have been crowned the winners of the 2021/2022 season FA Cup.

The Reds defeated their English Premier League counterpart, Chelsea on penalties on Saturday evening to claim the title, Naija News reports.

By tonight’s victory, Liverpool has now secured their second cup title of the season.

120 minutes of full and extra time was not enough to decide who wins the oldest cup competition in the world.

Jurgen Klopp’s men, however, smiled at last after beating Chelsea 6-5 in the penalty shootouts.

Naija News understands that tonight’s loss was Chelsea’s third consecutive FA Cup final loss.

Chelsea are currently 3rd on the English Premier League table with 70 points, leading Arsenal with 4 points.

Meanwhile, Manchester United training ended abruptly during the week as two top players reportedly engaged in a brawl.

The club interim manager, Ralf Rangnick, was said to have immediately called off the training over the disappointing scenario, Naija News learnt.

The UK Sun reported that the bust-up happened towards the end of Thursday’s training at Carrington.

The players were asked to immediately return to the changing room as the Premier League side put a halt to the day’s training session.

Rangnick is set to take charge of the Red Devils for the last time when they face Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

Naija News understands that the two senior players involved in the fight were not mentioned to the public but the management is curtailing the situation.

The scenario was said to have left other players puzzled.
