Imo: Seminarian Slumps, Dies While Acting Easter Drama

A seminarian identified as Suel Ambrose has slumped and died while acting Easter drama at Claratian Institute of Philosophy, of the Claratian University of Nigeria (CUN) Nekede, in Owerri, Imo State.

Ambrose was acting in Easter Passion Play which is a representation of the suffering and crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

Some of the students who spoke with newsmen disclosed that the 25-year-old first-year student of Philosophy was playing the role of St Peter when he suddenly slumped.

A student of the school identified as Mavis said the incident threw the whole school community into confusion.

According to Mavis, the deceased fell on the floor and started bleeding.

Mavis noted that when first aid given to him could not revive him, he was rushed to the Federal Medical Center in Owerri where he gave up the ghost.

The incident saw other activities relating to the Easter celebration in the school suspended.
