Bandits Raid Kaduna Communities, Kidnap 40 Worshippers – SOKAPU Claims

At least 13 female students of the Federal Government College, Birnin Yauri, Kebbi State, have been reportedly married off to bandit terrorists.

According to Daily Trust, some of the female students are currently pregnant for the gunmen after they have been in captivity for eight months.

It was learned that despite payment of ransom and prisoner swap, the remaining abductees have been kept in captivity in order to cater for the well being of the terrorists.

Naija News understands that their captor and bandit kingpin, Dogo Gide, had threatened to convert the males into terrorists by training them on gun handling and marrying off the females.

Daily Trust reports that the bandits’ kingpin had made good his pledge as he gave out at least 13 of the students to bandits and a few interested persons living in villages along the boundary between Niger and Zamfara states.

Recall that some terrorists invaded the school on June 17,  2021, and kidnapped 80 students and five teachers. Following the abduction, the safety of students and teachers became a source of concern for stakeholders and the government.

Immediately after the abduction, a few of the victims were retrieved by security forces while others were released in two batches to negotiators in October and January by the bandits as part of negotiation talks.

The bandits’ kingpin is holding on to two of the students despite receiving huge amounts in ransom and two of his men freed as part of negotiations in October.
