Suspected Political Thugs Attack Osun Govt Bus

A bus owned by the Osun State Government was attacked on Friday night by political thugs at Owode-Ede.

It was gathered that the thugs started chasing the bus with registration number 52C-09 OS along Gbongan/Osogbo road around 9 pm.

A further report had it that the political thugs caught up with them but which had the inscription of ‘Ruwesa Osun Govt’ at Palm Crest Junction, Owode-Ede.

The windscreen of the bus was shattered, while the two sides mirrors and the doors were also damaged.

An eyewitness identified as Ola while speaking on the development with The Nation said, “The armed thugs were armed with guns, cutlasses and other dangerous weapons. The injured driver, the thugs were saying, ‘Oyetola is an ingrate and needed to be dealt with’. It was like a drama, it was only the driver that was inside the bus. The thugs thought politicians were inside the vehicle.

“The injured driver has been taken to the hospital because he was severely injured.”

This is coming a few hours to the primary election of the All Progressives Congress in the state.
